Social Studies Textbook Adoption
2026-2027
School districts across Tennessee will be reviewing and selecting Social Studies textbook upon
final approval from the State Board of Education.
The following names are being submitted for Hickman County School Board approval to serve
on the Social Studies Textbook Adoption Committee during the 2026-2027 school year:
EHES - Elizabeth Looney
CES - Mollie Chessor
EHIS - Chenille Summers
CIS - Allie Sue Hughes
EHMS - Darrell Hanes
HCMS - Tammy Worley
EHHS - Robin Castleberry
HCHS - Franklin Salisbury
Special Education Teacher Representative - Brooke Rogers
Classroom teachers were chosen by their principals and one special education teacher was
selected for the district.
