out-of-state destination and/or is planned for overnight must have prior approval by the Board of
Education.

Dear parents/guardians:
We are planning to celebrate our 2025-2026 school year with 8th graders at Beechbend Park in
Bowling Green, KY on Friday May 15th. We will be taking charter buses this year. The estimated
cost of the trip will be $100(payable to HCMS if writing a check). Students will have the choice to
either pay for the trip or participate in a Krispy Kreme donut sale. If they participate in the
donut sale, they will be expected to sell at least 15 boxes of donuts.
This letter serves as notice that your child is eligible (so far) to attend the trip. Should your
child become ineligible, we will notify you and a refund will be issued. Per the student
handbook, the following criteria must be met:

No more than 16 missed days

No more than 2 majors or 8 minors (bus suspension equals a major)

No visits to alternative school

Final average at the end of the 3rd nine weeks must be passing for all classes
Please check below to let us know if your child intends on going on the trip and if you would like
to participate in the Krispy Kreme donut sale.
