TNStrong Youth Summit
Chattanooga, TN
July 19-21, 2026
Students at HCHS are invited to attend the 2026 Youth Summit in Chattanooga TN.
Approximately 21.6% of Tennessee high school students vape, more than double the national
rate of roughly 10%. TNStrong works to discourage the use of vapes and tobacco usage by
encouraging their peers to live healthy, clean lives. The Youth Summit helps students build the
knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead the fight.
Over the course of this three-day conference, students will have the opportunity to hear from
leading tobacco prevention experts as well as network with like-minded peers from across the
state. The goal is that students will depart feeling fueled and equipped to reach peers and adults
in the continuing effort to protect people from the harmful effects of tobacco use.
Students will stay at a hotel close to the Chattanooga convention center. All accommodations,
transportation, and meals are provided by TNStrong. 1 male and at least 1 female HC employee
will chaperone the event. Given time and availability, students may also be allowed to visit
Chattanooga historical sites and attractions
