INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN HICKMAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND HICKMAN COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

The attached agreement is not in the May 22 minutes OCR. Floor sponsors said the mayor and highway superintendent had a covenant agreement allowing the Highway Department, at the county mayor's request, to do county jobs such as cutting a road for relocating the eastern convenience center, rather than forcing a separate bid.

Conditions discussed:

• Highway work for county projects would not pull crews off existing highway priorities
• The county would pay fuel and materials; labor is already on payroll
• $150,000 maximum that the mayor and highway superintendent can agree to without coming back to the full commission
