- Finance Committee · Meeting · Oct 13, 2026 The Finance Committee organized for the year by electing Dusty Jordan as chair and Nick Bentley as vice chair, both by acclamation without opposition. It approved the agenda, the August 10 minutes, and the September financial summary. Finance Director Crystal Fitzgerald said the county’s finances were generally in line with the prior year, with the main update being about $260,000 in property-tax revenue received by the end of September after earlier collection was authorized in June. The September financial summary passed on a unanimous roll-call vote of the five members present. No unfinished or new business was taken up. The chair also reviewed the committee’s role in forwarding the financial summary to the full county commission and noted that state law separates finance from budget while giving seats to the school board, highway department, and county mayor.
