RESOLUTION NO. 25-17
AMENDING HICKMAN COUNTY ZONING RESOLUTION RELATIVE TO TYPE II, HOME OCCUPATIONS
WHEREAS, on July 18, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners of Hickman County adopted Resolution No. 05-32 enacting a "Zoning Resolution" for the unincorporated areas of the county; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Hickman County have made changes to the Zoning Resolution from time to time that clarify and update these documents to more accurately reflect the will of the people of Hickman County; and
WHEREAS, the Hickman County Planning Commission met in regular session on April 1, 2025, voting to recommend these changes to the Hickman County Zoning Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the required Public Hearing on this resolution has taken place, and the Board of County Commissioners of Hickman County, Tennessee, are desirous of approving it in furtherance of the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Hickman County, Tennessee, assembled in regular session this April 28, 2025, that:
SECTION 1. Section 3.070.B(1): Is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:
No more than three (3) employees may work at the site of the business other than family members. In no case shall the home occupation have more than five (5) employees working at the site.
SECTION 2. Section 3.070.B(3): The maximum size of the accessory structure shall be increased from twenty-four hundred (2,400) square feet to five thousand (5,000) square feet.
SECTION 3. The provisions of this resolution shall become effective upon its passage, the public welfare requiring it.
