RESOLUTION NO. 23-23

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND HICKMAN COUNTY RESOLUTION 22-12 TO ALLOW THE HICKMAN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL BUYING COOPERATIVE

WHEREAS, the Hickman County Board of Education made a motion in their meeting of Monday, August 7th, 2023, to approve the amendment of County Resolution 22-12 to add Sourcewell as a Buying Cooperative; and

WHEREAS, this motion passed unanimously with seven aye votes and zero nays; and

WHEREAS, the attached minutes of the Hickman County Board of Education from August 7th, 2023, labeled as ATTACHMENT 1, reflect this unanimous motion.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Commission of Hickman County, Tennessee, Sourcewell be added as a Buying Cooperative for the Hickman County Board of Education. This resolution will take effect immediately upon passage.

The floor explanation was that the school system already had a prior purchasing setup and simply needed this extra entity added. The August 7 school-board minutes were referenced as Attachment 1 and are not in the OCR extract.
